The Sr. Solution Architect will lead the solution design, build, and system Implementation from ideation to production release with strategic end-to-end architecture across Business, Technology & Data. The role will deliver innovative solutions on cloud-based infrastructure and implement application build, systems, data integration, and data warehousing to produce a high-performance and scalable product. The Sr. Solution Architect is key to building the end-to-end solution design, marrying best-in-class data & technology architecture to serve the business needs with a robust target state for all future large programs. The incumbent will drive solutions that complement the IT vision and IMCO’s strategies and actively advocate technologies that best support IMCO in meeting its current and future business needs. This role will report to the Director, Data Technology.What will you do?Lead the project in an architecture and solution design capacity from vendor RFPs to end-to-end implementation.Provide strong communication across the business and technical community to detail the technical architectural direction.Utilizes a strategic approach to resolve business problems, identifying ways to maximize productivity, improve quality, create efficiency, and reduce costs.Act as a key liaison between IT & Data and senior investment business stakeholders providing strategic leadership in technical solutions, ensuring alignment to IMCO’s architecture principles, while supporting the 5-year strategy.Oversee the technical implementation of IMCO’s strategic projects, including but not limited to IMCO’s Data warehouse modernization program.Collaborate with the Cyber and Data Enablement teams and ensure data security is in line with policies and appropriate access controls, data encryption, and data masking techniques are applied where applicable to protect information stored in the data warehouse.As a key member of the Technical Design Authority (TDA) committee, oversee, recommend, and contribute designs ensuring adherence to IMCO’s architecture principles.As a technical SME, assess vendor technology fit to meet business function and non-functional requirements, system integration, and data integration.Recommend and facilitate technical Proof-of-Concept (PoC) based on business requirements to assess and provide early identification of technology risks, application performance, and gaps for integration into the IMCO eco-system.Implement integration with external/internal investment systems leveraging modern cloud technologies and tools on an event-driven architecture.Provide solution design for systems implementation, API integration, and data integration, detailing technical specifications.Guide technical development and advise on best practices for SDLC, release & change management.Optimize the technology infrastructure for efficiency and scalability, including performance tuning services and code.Be a strong change agent, balancing future vision with collaborative style to achieve optimal results.Help create DevOps practices for continuous integration and delivery, with testing and deployment automation.Assist with the oversight of the implementation of various initiatives, owning the quality and effectiveness of the solution.Assist with evaluating technology trends and assess for fit based on cost/benefit analyses.What do you need to succeed?A bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Technology development, or equivalent education or experience.10+ years of experience in architecture teams, with expert knowledge, experience, and understanding of architecture, design, integration, and optimization.Strong technology development experience with Azure Cloud, leveraging SaaS approach.Strong understanding of data management, investment master data, investment reference data, data hierarchy concepts, and solutions.Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and guide technical and business strategists.Strong knowledge in data warehousing using Azure data solutions such as Data Factory, Airflow, Snowflake, Azure Databricks, Azure Analysis Service, Azure Synapse, and Azure Function App.Experience with building Web API in an object-oriented language.Experience with system integration, building reports, data warehouse, and APIs for investment data.Deep experience in large systems integration and application architecture design and solution.Proven track record of managing and delivering end-to-end, complex system implementations.Knowledge of Investment banking & Private Asset technologies (Eagle, PMS (Chronograph), Dynamo, InvesTran, SimCorp, eFront, etc.).Knowledge of CRM solutions (MS Dynamics 365, Salesforce, etc.) and Workflow automation tooling (Pega Platform, UiPath, PowerAutomate, etc.).Previous experience operating in a complex operational and technical environment.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence.Ability to analyze complex business situations and drive practical and innovative solutions.Excellent organizational skills with an ability to balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced, rapidly changing work environment.Good understanding of agile practices, with demonstrated experience in operating in Kanban or Scrum for delivery.Strong analytical, consultative, business agile, and team communication / facilitative skills.Working knowledge of Capital Markets, the Investment industry, and public & private markets.Exposure to Data Science and Machine Learning, and LLM is an asset.We thank all applicants, however, only those selected for an interview will be contacted.Our hybrid work model offers flexibility and provides our employees with the opportunity to lead a well-balanced life.
