In this role, you will own full cycle reporting and preparation with variance analysis. You will develop accounting policies, internal control, and monthly reporting. You will also conduct research and implement accounting standards for routine and non-routine transactions.As Financial Reporting Manager, your responsibilities will include ownership of consolidated financial statements under IFRS standards, updating and enhancing the accounting policy playbook, and working with senior leadership to develop best practices and deliverables. Apply today!Responsibilities:Lead the preparation of quarterly and annual consolidation workbooks, and external financial statements by TSX reporting timelines, and delivery to the audit committee.Actively manage a calendar of financial activities, reporting, and filing reporting requirements.Accountable for the effectiveness of internal controls over financial reporting, including implementation of additional controls, as necessary.Ownership of the building out of a control framework aligning with SOX and COSO requirements.Review of monthly and quarterly bank reporting and regulatory financial statements.Prepare reports and/or working papers to support financial reporting requirements and management decision-making.Work with the FP&A team to manage monthly and quarterly reporting to management.Collaborate with external auditors to understand their requirements and provide necessary workpapers and supporting documentation to meet reporting timelines.Research and monitor accounting standards and regulatory guidelines; lead the impact assessment and adoption of new standards, and guidelines, and make recommendations to management.Develop and maintain the policy and procedure manuals for the financial reporting process.Oversee the research and implementation of new accounting and disclosure requirements, including the preparation of detailed accounting whitepapers/memos.Support management in the assessment, accounting, and documentation of non-routine and complex accounting transactions.Facilitate cross-functional relationships for timely financial statement reporting.Assist with the implementation of upcoming accounting standards.Perform ad hoc analysis and project work streams as required.Professional Qualifications:A bachelor’s degree in accounting is required.CPA Required.A Minimum of 6 years of accounting experience is required, particularly in financial reporting.6+ years of combined auditing, accounting, and external reporting experience, with at least 5-7 years of public accounting experience obtaining Manager-level roles and responsibilities.Big 4 experience is a plus.Public Company audit experience required, both SEC and TSX reporting.Expert knowledge of IFRS.Strong knowledge of internal controls, SOX experience is preferred.Effective communication skills (both verbal and written) with senior management and across departments.Process-oriented with strong diligence.Proven experience researching and analyzing accounting standards and regulatory guidelines; previous involvement in significant accounting standards adoptions a plus.Experience authoring reports or memos analyzing complex accounting issues.Proficient in technology, ERP systems (currently SAP B1 and MS D365), and MS Office Suite.Effectively manage multiple competing priorities in a deadline-driven environment.Expert knowledge and success in implementing internal controls.Ability to assess current data collection and reporting to focus on process improvement.Proven record and desire to collaborate with senior leadership to develop best practices and deliverables.About Exro Technologies Inc.Exro Technologies Inc., now expanded through the strategic acquisition of SEA Electric, is a leading clean technology company that has developed new generation power control electronics.
