SCG is one of Canada’s few winners of Fast Company Magazine’s Fast 50 award. Job Description We are seeking an Ecommerce Specialist to join our growing Ecommerce team. The successful candidate will be responsible for handling all customer service inquiries and supporting merchandising activities across the ecommerce stores. You will be responsible for various aspects of ecommerce operations, including website management, product merchandising, customer service, and marketing initiatives. The Responsibilities: • Stay up-to-date in world sports, specifically hockey on new jersey launches, player trades and other news to manage and update categories and PDPs. •Provide prompt and helpful assistance to customers through various communication channels, including contact us form, email, chat, and phone. •Maintain and update the website, ensuring accurate product listings, pricing, and availability. Add orders to the production software (SAP) as required • Resolve customer issues , product issues, returns, refunds and make recommendations on how to effectively handle these issues • Manage and report on customer feedback from all customers • Collaborate cross-functionally with production and marketing to communicate orders, and to develop engaging content for blog posts, social media posts, and product pages. • Work with production to make sure orders are being produced on time and within SLA • Review, manage and update all product description pages on the site • Run promotional activities and sales events across all the web properties • Write and update content for all FAQ, blog, product, and collection pages • Generate & analyze regular reports to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement. • Manage marketplace listings and orders. Add orders on SAP as required • Prepare reports on analytics and customer data • Support the ecommerce and marketing team in optimizing and shortening the customer journey towards purchase • Inventory management to ensure adequate stock levels and timely replenishment of products. • Assist with site QA, A/B testing data collection and planning of landing pages • Support occasional special projects that involve cross-functional teams Qualifications Bachelor's degree in marketing, business administration, or equivalent. 2+ years experience in ecommerce operations, preferably in the retail or sports industry. Creative thinker with a passion for sports, particularly hockey. Strong understanding of ecommerce platforms, such as Shopify, Magento, or WooCommerce. Proficiency in ERP and CRM systems is a plus. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with customers and cross-functional teams. Analytical mindset with a focus on data-driven decision-making. Ability to multitask, prioritize workload, and thrive in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in SAP and PPG is a plus.
