Our client is looking to bring on an Office Manager for their boutique law firm located in downtown Calgary. This role will be between 24-32 hours a week starting in office and can transition to a flexible hybrid schedule once training has been completed.

The ideal candidate will be capable of managing all office administrative related duties, assisting with people management, liaising with a third-party accounting firm, supporting with ad hoc accounting functions, as well as working to enforce and improve internal policies and procedures.This role reports directly to the Partner working as their right hand in many ways along side her paralegal.

Required is a detail oriented, supportive, go-getter and trouble shooter with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate with both internal and external stake holders. This person will be friendly and approachable with the confidence to speak up, ask questions when needed, and work autonomously with little to no micromanaging.

Duties and Responsibilities:

The key job functions are:

  • Overseeing the performance of the legal admin team
  • Managing vendors, light bookkeeping, payroll and expenses support
  • Developing and documenting company polices/procedures
  • Ordering and keeping a running inventory of all office supplies
  • IT maintenance and support
  • Other duties as needed

Qualifications:

  • Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle
  • Proficiency in MS 365 required
  • Experience/knowledge in IPRO Eclipse a large asset

Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years’ Office Management experience
  • Those with law firm industry experience are preferred

  • Confident, self-driven and process based personality
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
  • High attention to detail and organization
  • Adaptable, flexible, and able to function effectively autonomously as well as in a team environment
  • Proactive, able to solve problems before they arise
  • Strong sense of confidentiality and discretion
  • Tech savvy in nature

Base Salary:$25-28 per hour

Work Hours:

  • Extremely flexible! Can work anywhere between 24-32 hours as needed.
  • Flexible hybrid work schedule after initial onboarding/orientation period

Remote Work:

  • This position operates on a hybrid work model.

Additional Notes:

  • This opportunity does not include relocation. It will be the responsibility of the candidate should relocation be required.
