TBM Mechanical Superintendent for a Construction Project in the USA

Protecnium is an international consulting firm specializing in engineering and technician services (www.protecnium.com/en). We are currently looking for a TBM Mechanical Superintendent to join our team for a construction project in Los Angeles, United States. - Project: sewer tunnel- Estimated length: 12 months - In general, when the project ends, we try to place the candidate in other projects to give him/her continuity.- Responsibilities:Managing the daily mechanical running, operation and maintenance of the TBM and associated mechanical equipment.Organising and planning work for future mechanical operations.Managing plan maintenance for all mechanical equipment on site.Developing specifications for production and determining materials, equipment, material flows and layout of plant and systems.Liaising with Project Manager for all TBM, conveyor, gantry crane and associated equipment assembly/installation/dismantling, commissioning and testing works.Carry out daily plant inspections, complete and submit maintenance/breakdown reports.Liaising with the TBM Electrical team for planning of ongoing and future works.Supervise and provide support to Mechanics on shift, for trouble shooting and preventative maintenance.Ensuring Method Statements and Risk assessments are in place for ongoing and future mechanical works.Inspecting and auditing the plant to ensure optimum performance is maintained in accordance with US Standards.Responsible for accurate and effective shift handovers as required.- Requirements:A minimum of 7 years of experience as a TBM Mechanical Superintendent in similar projects.Experience with Herrenknecht machines (valuable).- Working Hours: Monday to Friday: 40 hours weekly.
