The Opportunity McElhanney has an exciting opportunity for a Civil Project Manager to grow our Civil Engineering presence in Grande Prairie, AB. What You’ll Be Doing Lead detailed designs and production of engineering drawings and specifications, meeting all client and approval agency requirements, including new municipal utilities and road works, as well as local government utility rehabilitation and renewal projects.Coordinate and assist in the preparation of documents required for approvals, calculations, prepare development and construction cost estimates, tender documents and contracts.Chair regular project meetings with clients and internal staffDevelop new business and establish strategic relationships with key clients, agencies and partnersCoordinate with other team members and monitor project progress to ensure schedules, budgets and quality control standards are achieved.Provide leadership in safety and quality management practicesCreate and review of technical reports; Prepare and submit superior proposalsGenerate invoices for clients and track against agreed client budgetsManage multidisciplinary teams, providing guidance to junior engineers and technical staffWhat You’ll Bring A degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university with strong technical skills and 5 – 15 years of related technical experienceRegistration in good standing as a P.Eng in AB or ability to obtain registration through existing inter-jurisdictional agreementsConstruction Administration is an assetProven ability to attract and retain clients, win projects and consistently provide high quality deliverables on time and on budgetAn aptitude for leadership, continuous learning, knowledge sharing and relationship buildingBonus points if you have experience with all government levels, construction contractors and developers would be an assetWhat’s In It For You The salary range for this position is $110,240 – $149,760 per annum. McElhanney offers fair compensation that is commensurate with the individual’s education, experience, skills, and professional qualifications. The posted base salary/wage range is representative of the required level of qualifications and experience for the position as noted in the job posting. The salary offered will be based on the experience and qualifications of the successful candidate.
