CAD/BIM Technician, for COWI in North America

Turn challenges into sustainable solutions
We are looking for a CAD/BIM Technician to join our team. You are going to work closely with a team of experts on North America's most innovative projects.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

  • Assist a team by preparing engineering drawings for a range of infrastructure projects, including bridges, marine constructions, and tunnels, by refining initial sketches and adhering to recognized standards and guidelines
  • Perform design/drafting assignments working closely with Engineers
  • Work collaboratively in a team environment with other CAD Technicians and Engineers
  • Work closely with other CAD Technicians to ensure the quality of detailing is consistent with the Company's production and design standards; and
  • Perform other tasks as required.

On top of that, you will:

  • Have Technical or vocational school education with an emphasis in CAD, and 10 years of industry experience in drafting for bridge/tunnel/marine design
  • Be proficient with AutoCAD & Civil 3D
  • Have experience with 3D modelling (Revit and/or Tekla)
  • Preferably be proficient in MicroStation
  • Have demonstrated the ability to see a project through to completion
  • Demonstrate adept independent decision-making while valuing collaboration, proficiency in remote team collaboration, and a preferred familiarity with design/drafting standards.
