Process Engineer - Guelph

Full Job Description

One of our clients in Guelph is seeking a Process Engineer to develop, implement, and enhance manufacturing processes for automotive thermal products. Responsibilities include implementing automated processes and refining existing equipment and tooling to meet the company's Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Essential skills include project management and improving process controls.

Salary Range - depending on experience

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and implementation of new processes, revise existing ones, and coordinate project implementation and new launches.
• Support New Product Introduction (NPI) activities, engineering changes, VA/VE activities, address quality concerns, and troubleshoot production issues on the lines.
• Manage projects and detailed scheduling for new equipment procurement and other initiatives.
• Create, update, and maintain all Core Tool process documentation (PFMEAs, process flows, Control Plans).
• Ensure safe working practices and compliance with Occupational Health & Safety regulations.
• Identify and validate new technologies to improve current processes.
• Conduct product/process analysis for cost reduction, quality improvement, and efficiency enhancement.
  
  

Key Qualifications

• Post-secondary diploma or degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or a related field is required.
• At least seven years of experience as a Process Engineer in the automotive or similar manufacturing industry.
• Experience managing and implementing new processes, including APQP experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project.
• Ability to read and interpret CAD drawings and 2D product prints.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Proven project management abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong team-building and leadership skills.
• Experience with injection molding, assembly, or brazing processes is a plus.

5+ years of manufacturing experience is required.
