One of our clients in Guelph is seeking a Process Engineer to develop, implement, and enhance manufacturing processes for automotive thermal products. Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and implementation of new processes, revise existing ones, and coordinate project implementation and new launches.
- Support New Product Introduction (NPI) activities, engineering changes, VA/VE activities, address quality concerns, and troubleshoot production issues on the lines.
- Manage projects and detailed scheduling for new equipment procurement and other initiatives.
- Create, update, and maintain all Core Tool process documentation (PFMEAs, process flows, Control Plans).
- Ensure safe working practices and compliance with Occupational Health & Safety regulations.
- Identify and validate new technologies to improve current processes.
- Conduct product/process analysis for cost reduction, quality improvement, and efficiency enhancement.
- Post-secondary diploma or degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or a related field is required.
- At least seven years of experience as a Process Engineer in the automotive or similar manufacturing industry.
- Experience managing and implementing new processes, including APQP experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project.
- Ability to read and interpret CAD drawings and 2D product prints.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Proven project management abilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong team-building and leadership skills.
- Experience with injection molding, assembly, or brazing processes is a plus.
5+ years of manufacturing experience is required.
