In this role you will help deliver phenomenal experience and improve the store for both users and developers by generating insights from data in a privacy-friendly manner.DescriptionWe’re seeking a data engineer & analyst to join the App Store Data team. In this position you will:Work in a highly cross-functional teamDesign next big things in collaboration with a variety of internal stakeholders and leadership teamExplore existing data products and understand their semantics, features, and limitationsDesign new data products, write functional specsShare your ideas, feedback, analysis, and insightsDocument data contracts with internal partners and evolve them when neededWrite clean, efficient, scalable data pipelines that process hundreds of terabytesReview team members’ code in an efficient and constructive wayCare about your data product as much as about your codeWork with internal partners to certify new feature implementationsRelease changes to productionWork with SRE teams on troubleshootingAdhere to various policies, standards, and practicesMinimum Qualifications3+ years of hands-on experience in ad-hoc data analysis3+ years of hands-on experience in Scala, Java, or PythonExcellent knowledge of SQLExperience working with Jupyter Notebooks or similar productsExperience working with dashboard solutions: Tableau, PowerBI, AWS QuickSight or similar productsBS or MS in technical field: Math, Statistics, Analytics, Computer Science, Business or similar areasPreferred QualificationsExcellent communication skills and ability to present new ideas to stakeholders and leadership team at various levelsGood understanding of software engineering principles and fundamentals including algorithms and data structuresGood knowledge of Spark is preferredPay & BenefitsAt Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $113,400 and $215,300, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple Inc.’s discretionary employee stock programs. Employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit award recommendations, and can purchase Apple Inc. stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple Inc.’s Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
