Role Overview:As the Events and Hospitality Manager, you will play a key role in overseeing and executing both internal and external member events, from corporate meetings and member gatherings to larger-scale events in our Theatre. This position will report directly to our VP of Operations and you'll work closely with all members of the Den 1880 team to ensure flawless execution of events, meeting room bookings and member experiences and more. This position is full-time and in-person. A successful candidate must have a flexible schedule to execute events during and outside of traditional daytime hours, including evenings and weekends.Key Responsibilities:Act as the primary point of contact for both internal and external member events.Drive revenue by proactively selling the event spaces through outreach, relationship-building, and tailored event solutions for members.Leverage your sales skills to attract and secure bookings, offering personalized tours and consultations to clients looking to host a variety of events.Develop and execute strategic sales plans revenue reports to promote and book the space for private and corporate events.Coordinate and oversee all events, serving as the main point of contact to ensure seamless execution from start to finish.Coordinate with team members to ensure meeting rooms are equipped with necessary amenities.Ensure seamless communication with members and team members to meet and exceed expectations.Manage event planning, staffing, and budgets, ensuring efficiency, profitability, and member satisfaction.Manage food and beverage services, including bar and catering packages, in collaboration with external vendors to ensure high-quality delivery for all events.Collaborate with the marketing team to promote events and generate leads.Develop strategic sales plans and manage leads, proposals, and negotiations to drive revenue.Build relationships with local businesses to grow our member benefits programActively engage with our coworking community, fostering strong relationships with members and integrating event services that enhance the overall community experienceAdditional Responsibilities:Lead events teams to ensure flawless day-to-day execution of internal and external events.Negotiate and execute contracts and pricing with members, vendors, and suppliers to maximize profitability.Contribute to the ongoing development of Den 1880’s hospitality services.Qualifications & Skills:Strong organizational and management skills, capable of juggling multiple projects at once.A self-starter with a passion for the community who is looking to be apart of a growing team.Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, startup environment.Detail-oriented with strong time management and problem-solving abilities.Experience in budgeting, financial targets, and sales in the events or hospitality industries.Experience:Minimum of 2 years experience in service and hospitality or event management.Hospitality experience in bartending and serving is preferred.Strong community relationships in KW and surrounding areaStrong negotiation skills and member relationship management experience.Sales experience is highly desirable.Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle Why Join Den 1880?Be part of a collaborative, entrepreneurial environment with growth opportunities.Significant career advancement potential into senior roles.Hands-on experience with a variety of events, from corporate functions to creative productions.Competitive compensation and potential for contract extension.How to Apply:Please submit your resume and cover letter to [email protected].
