Position Summary:

The Assistant Pharmacy Manager ensures that the pharmacy operates according to company policy, profession standards and provincial and federal laws which govern the profession of pharmacy practice. The Assistant Pharmacy Manager ensures that internal and external day to day dispensary and clinical pharmacy duties are completed appropriately in order to achieve and/or exceed specified outcomes. Compensation: $104,000 to $127,000/year

Actual pay rate will be based on the individual candidate’s credentials and experience for the role with CareRx.

Your Day To Day:

  • Assistant Pharmacy Manager is a skilled pharmacist and will work in partnership with the Pharmacy Manager to ensure the pharmacy is complying with all applicable regulatory standards.
  • Review and/or complete root cause analysis and documentation of medication incident reports. Create action plans to prevent incidents and respond to homes accordingly
  • Responsible for overseeing all pharmacists including scheduling and arranging on-call pharmacist rotations.
  • Collaborate with the operations managers and pharmacy manager when applicable to ensure that day to day operations of the pharmacy dispensary are completed
  • Collaborate with company-wide internal senior team member for the review/development of company-wide initiatives and strategic vision
  • Foster and maintain relationships/partnerships with current clients to ensure high level of customer satisfaction
  • Promotes company’s Vision, Mission and Values
  • Support and collaborate with the CareRx Business Development team with regard to prospective clients
  • Assist with meeting assigned budget and labour goals such as maintaining adequate staffing levels/ratios
  • Manages and evaluates KPIs to improve pharmacy operational efficiency
  • Attend/participate in professional conferences, key stakeholder meetings and trade shows, when applicable
  • Oversee and coordinate influenza outbreak protocols
  • Participate and guide the team through special pharmacy projects as required

What You Bring To The Team

  • Registered as a Pharmacist and in good standing with the College of Pharmacists of BC
  • Previous management or lead experience an asset
  • Strong leadership, delegation and team building skills
  • Ability to work effectively within a team
  • Self-directed, requiring minimal supervision and ability to work independently
  • Knowledge of Kroll, automated packaging and inspection machine software, Microsoft Office and all applicable eMAR platforms an asset
  • Ability to be able to remain unbiased when assigning tasks and resolving disputes
  • Business and financial acumen is an asset
  • Highly organized and possess excellent time management skills
  • Skilled in critical thought processes and be able to prioritize appropriately
  • Must demonstrate initiative and creativity
  • Motivated to achieve results that reflect a high standard of quality
  • Must demonstrate good listening skills and be adaptable to changes in job environment
