You will be expected to coordinate the workflow, reviewing the completion of document production, file management, copying/scanning work and other administrative work. You will work closely with lawyers and legal support staff to provide a high level of service to clients while also having opportunities to grow your skills as part of a successful team.As a Legal Assistant in the Labour and Employment Practice, you will be a key member of a dynamic team. Your main responsibilities will include:Manage calendars, arrange meetings, and handle travel bookings.Coordinate office tasks such as photocopying, filing, and organizing couriers.Support lawyers in marketing activities and preparation of pitches.Handle phone queries and emails, ensuring timely responses.Monitor lawyers' emails and manage client correspondence when necessary.Liaise with support departments and communicate absences to relevant parties.Assist in client care, intake, and maintenance of client information.Arrange client meetings and address basic client queries.Review documents before providing them to lawyers, draft correspondence, and maintain spreadsheets as needed.Ensure proper time recording by lawyers and assist in billing processes.Produce financial reports and handle financial transactions as required.Provide support to lawyers and colleagues within the practice group.Assist other members of the firm as needed and perform additional duties as requested.The ideal candidate will come with the following qualifications:Post-secondary degree or Diploma in legal studiesA minimum 3+ years’ experience supporting lawyers in labour and employment lawUnderstanding of litigation proceduresProficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software.Strong communication and organizational skills.Attention to detail, flexibility, and proactive attitude.Ability to handle pressure and meet deadlines.Team player with a positive and solutions-focused approach to work.Qualified job seekers are asked to apply with attention to Sydney Douglas.I really look forward to hearing from you, but please understand that I will only be contacting those that are applicable for the role!Options Consulting Solutions is an equal opportunity employer and welcomes applications from all individuals.
