Daycare Director

Kiddies Daycare Centre is a multi-denominational, Christian organization that provides day care services to areas around NW of Calgary. This mid-sized childcare facility serves children from 12 months to 6 years of age. The services provided are safe, secure, and nurturing, giving parents confidence that this facility is not only new and innovative in design but also an excellent place where their children will be happy. We combine a professional staff workforce with a fit-for-purpose learning environment and a comprehensive, evidence-based, and innovative curriculum. We deliver evidence-based curriculum and early educational programs that incorporate basic Christian principles and values designed to support your child’s mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual development. Daycare Director/Program Supervisor Responsibilities: Create an environment that promotes educational opportunities for infant, preschool, and toddler aged children by managing and supporting a team of childcare educators. Manage the overall operation of the centre including recruitment and development of staff, management and implementation of policies and procedures. Conduct monthly fire drills. Provide supervision, leadership, and support to all program staff. Ensure licensing requirements are always met. Design and implement daycare programs. Handle registration/enrollment/billing inquiries as well as ongoing support for families. Develop, implement, and provide activities for children. Manage administrative tasks such as processing payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general communications. Lead by example through interaction including behavioral management skills, communication skills, problem identification, and resolution skills. Perform all other duties as assigned. Required: Minimum ECE Level 3; Child Development Supervisor. Current First Aid Certificate. Evidence of Criminal Record Clearance, including Vulnerable Sector Search, within past 6 months. Five or more years’ experience in a childcare setting and at least three years as a childcare director. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Desire to be creative and innovative. Strong teamwork; willingness to learn; effective time management, administrative, and organizational skills. Creativity and flexibility.
