Software Engineer, Full Stack Vancouver, BC

We’re growing and we are looking to add a Software Engineer to our fast-paced and customer-oriented team focusing on our Enterprise product, Jungle Scout Cobalt 2.0. Jungle Scout Cobalt combines Amazon data – like pricing, inventory, ad spend, and more – with broader context like market share, shopping trends, competitive intelligence, and share of voice. All with built-in advertising automation for turning insights to action and a straightforward interface that illuminates strategies to multiply sales. Where would this person be located? We’re a remote-first company and looking to hire this Software Engineer between the EST - PST time zones in Canada (excluding Quebec). What you will be doing: Design and build. You will be helping to design and build new web applications and microservices, as well as creating new features on our existing applications. Make recommendations. You will play an active role in the decision-making process around technologies for new applications and improvements to existing ones. Scale, maintain, and improve. You’ll anticipate challenges by maintaining existing codebases and system infrastructures, enhancing the development, staging, and production environments. Participate and contribute. You’ll take part in code reviews, project planning, and management, providing input for the ongoing improvement of engineering practices. Passionate mentor. You will coach junior and intermediate developers on programming and infrastructure best practices. Who you are: Full Stack Developer. You have full stack development experience, including Python, SQL, Django, and React. Ruby and Big Data/Spark experience is a plus! Problem-solver. You systematically approach debugging issues and are comfortable with technical problems of complexity. Autonomous & collaborative.
