Our client, a precision machining and part manufacturer located in Vaughan, ON is looking for a Production Scheduler. The Production Scheduler plans, schedules, coordinates and/or monitors the flow of products through the complete production cycle and will consist of planning production, assembly, machining, and delivery schedules.   Duties and ResponsibilitiesProvide timely planning and scheduling of manufacturing work orders to the manufacturing floor to achieve both internal financial goals and customer delivery dates.Develop and implement daily and weekly production schedules and targets.Balance existing labor and machine capacity to maximize efficiency and production throughput.Examine all aspects of the scheduling process, including historical data, to improve production processes wherever possible.Report to the leadership team regarding existing orders, challenges, and production forecastingDefine policies pertaining to stock levels and run sizes liaising with Sales, Manufacturing, Engineering and ProductionMaintain Production Performance, Customer Delivery Performance, Shop Utilization, and Schedule Attainment data. Record trends and improvements (KPI’s)Communicate with other departments as necessary to ensure customer satisfaction is continuously met.Distribute dispatch reports and ensure work is planned to meet the production and develop contingency plans for any orders tracking behind to production schedule to ensure 100% on time delivery.Maintain continuous flow of new work into production.Maintain the ERP System.Participate in Continuous Improvement projects as required.Maintain long, medium, and short-term planning horizons. Qualifications and Requirements Post secondary diploma/degree in a technical, supply chain or business discipline.APICS certification would be a great asset. 3 to 5 years of experience in a Production Planning/Scheduling role within a fast-paced manufacturing environment (machining is highly desired.)Knowledge and experience with ERP/MRP systems .    Knowledge of and experience in work and material planning policies and procedures in a manufacturing environment Strong problem-solving skills.Advanced interpersonal and communication skillsProficient with Microsoft suite of programs including Excel/Word.
