The Role
Reporting to the Manager of IT, this position is part of the team responsible for ensuring the quality and timeliness of all Prairie Mobile Communications infrastructure and technology systems. The Systems Analyst is also responsible for managing Prairie Mobile Communications Enterprise Resource System (ERP) and associated subsystems. Duties include managing all data entry functions related to the ERP systems; researching and planning, installing, configuring, troubleshooting, maintaining and upgrading systems ensuring compatibility. Creating and maintaining documentation such as process flow charts, training manuals, problems and resolutions for future reference. Facilitate and function as a liaison between business and technical units and works with analysts to design solutions to meet business requirements. Plan, track and communicate activity status to shareholders and management as required.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Information Science, Business, or other related Computer field plus two (2) years of related experience; a combination of education and/or suitable work experience may be considered.
Experience in retail/wholesale/service industry preferred.
Experience with ERP software programs with the ability to define database requirements and activities for application development.
Ability to re-engineer business processes to maximize quality service and cost-effectiveness with innovative automated solutions, both internally and externally.
Proactive in problem solving, critical thinking and decision-making.
Strong communication skills, along with customer focus and results orientation.
Candidate must be able to conduct needs assessments with clients to identify business and marketing requirements to translate into project plans.
Skill in systems testing of specification requirements and performing structured business analysis on medium to large projects.
Ability to effectively participate in major projects or lead a variety of project team activities/tasks using standard application development design, report and project management tools.
Effective time management with the ability to plan, organize and prioritize to meet deadlines.
Strong skills in business or technical writing.
High level of integrity, maintaining confidentiality about the information being processed, stored or accessed by the network.
