Audio Visual Technician- Lead

*Please Note: This position is based out of Kelowna, British Columbia. Domestic relocation may be available to eligible candidates*Introduction:We are on the hunt for a talented Lead Lighting and Audio Technician's to join our team in the Sunny Okanagan in Kelowna, British Columbia and help us continue to deliver exceptional event experiences. The Lead Lighting Technician will play a pivotal role ensuring the success of our events and will focus on the set-up, operation and dismantling of AV equipment for small to large scale productions within the BC Interior and nationwide specializing in lighting/or Audio engineering. We deliver events far and wide across Canada and the USA.What you will have the opportunity to do:Delivery and supervision of scheduled events requiring Lighting/or Audio equipmentSet-up, operation and dismantle of AV equipment: Specializing in Lighting/Or Audio EngineeringTroubleshoot technical issues and resolve problems quickly as they ariseLiaise with internal team to develop solutions for audio/video/lighting configurations in order to meet project requirementsUse research and experience to provide input on technical equipment purchasesProvide an exceptional customer service experience to clients and/or venue staffDevelop leadership skills to assist in the training and development of junior techniciansLoading and unloading of equipment from trucks or trailersDriving company vehicles and operating equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, etc.Provide general warehouse support and assist with maintenance of video equipmentEnsure proper storage, transportation and maintenance of equipmentComplete required paperwork and data entry in a timely and accurate mannerHelp to maintain a safe working environment at all times by conforming to all established proceduresAid in the development of operating proceduresOther duties as requiredTo be successful in this role you:Have 3+ years of experience as a lead lighting/ or Lead Audio Technician(FOH)1+ years of experience of supervising a event techniciansExperience programming and operating Lighting/or Audio ConsolesUnderstanding of current technologies, signal flow and networking Troubleshooting experience Diploma in AV technical education is preferredHave a valid class 5 BC drivers license or equivalentAre physically fit, safety-minded and able to lift up to 50 lbsHave the ability to be flexible in working hours and be available to work outside of regular business hoursYou might be the person we are looking for if you:Possess strong problem solving skills with the ability be proactive and identify potential issuesAre a Reliable team player who is flexible and willing to assist with other departments as appropriateHave the ability to multi-task and manage time effectively in time sensitive situationsYou are committed to providing exceptional customer service and your a master communicatorHave a professional work ethic with a positive can-do attitudeYou have a willingness and desire to grow and expand within our teamThe details:Permanent Full Time PositionBased in Kelowna, BC with the opportunity to travel throughout BC and nationwideWork on variety of projects from major sporting, broadcast, festivals, concerts and corporateExtended Health and Dental Benefits after 6 MonthsCompetitive Hourly Wage reflective of your skills and experience +OvertimeTraining and Advancement OpportunitiesTeam Atmosphere with regular staff socials!How to Apply:If this sounds like you, then are you ready to put the spotlight on your career with us?
