Responsibilities:

• Create purchase orders, coordinate with vendors for outside requests
• Participate in the Global Excellence team as a Category Manager
• Work to review and implement new processes and procedures
• Strategic sourcing
• Maintain supplies of all types of items including perishables and commodities
• Work with vendor service contracts
• Source new suppliers 
• Project management

Job Requirements

• University or college degree in a related field, or equivalent experience
• SCMP certification considered an asset
• Minimum of 5 years’ related experience
• Experience purchasing in food processing or perishable environment considered an asset
• Understanding of contractual terms and conditions
• Professional communication skills
• Strong knowledge of ERP systems
• Ability to travel 1x per quarter in North America and possibly Europe
