RAS Ltd. was founded in 1994 and officially incorporated in 1998, with a primary focus on residential framing. Over the years, we have progressively expanded our expertise to encompass a diverse range of projects, including multi-family residential developments and both large and small commercial buildings. Our growth trajectory has been marked by the addition of services such as concrete foundations, pre-fabricated wall, floor, and stair supply and installation, and precision-cut floor systems, broadening our scope and enhancing our capabilities.

We are now looking for 2 Wall Panel Designers to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will work closely with designers, developers, and product managers to prototype, develop, and refine interactive experiences.

Job Description and Responsibilities:
• Read, interpret, understand, and prepare construction plans and have familiarity with multifamily & Residential wood frame construction
• Design prefabricated wall systems, extracting information from architectural & engineered plans and submittals
• Produce wall layouts & production drawings using MiTek’s Supply software
• Complete documentation packages and produce detailed drawing sets for wall systems
• Check and verify wall panel design drawings to ensure they conform to specifications and design data
• Write technical reports specific to wall systems
• Coordinate designs & schedule with other departments and the fabrication shop
• Communicate with engineers, architects, and contractors
• Prepare specifications, including cost and material estimates
• Attend weekly company meeting to discuss progress of current active projects

Employment Requirements:
• Completion of secondary school
• 4 to 5 years of experience in a design technologist or similar role or a combination of experience and some college courses in engineering design or related field
• Computer assisted drafting considered an asset but not required
• Experience with MiTek Software is an asset but not required
• Work experience in wood construction & framing (mid-rise residential) considered an asset but not required
