Contact past due customers through the appropriate channeling methods, request and negotiate payment arrangements within authorized limits, and send correspondence to collection customers. Use company specific policies and procedures to maintain and coordinate firm payment recovery. Assess and mitigate risk by referring accounts for further action. Document all call activity details in the Collections system to reflect any action taken, e.g., commitments to pay and/or amounts and dates agreed upon. Achieve individual collection targets to meet Department and Company-wide goals. Complete other collection responsibilities, as assigned. You possess excellent verbal and written communication skills. You thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment. You have great conflict resolution skills and ability to make decisions independently. You remain calm while solving issues and have the patience to deescalate difficult situations. You are tech savvy and know your way through Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook. You are experienced with skip tracing and familiar with using 411, social media, and the ability to understand credit bureaus. You have at least 3 years of working with high-risk accounts in the auto financing industry You can collaborate well with various teams and departments. Clear criminal reference check. Post-secondary education in Business Administration You have demonstrated work experience with sub-prime consumers You speak French You have flexible availability to work. Working hours can range anywhere between 9 AM to 9 PM EST Monday to Friday with alternating Saturday shifts; schedules are completed a month in advance and shifts are rotating.: 8:30am-5:00pm, 9:30am-6:00pm, 12:30-9:00pm, and two Saturdays a month.
