Financial Reporting Consultant

THE ROLE:Our client requires the support of a Financial Reporting Consultant for a 6-month contract. The ideal candidate will hold a CPA or equivalent designation and have prior experience preparing IFRS or US GAAP compliant financial statements. Our client is open to considering both career consultants and candidates looking for the right contract to hire opportunity.ResponsibilitiesExecuting period end closesSupporting the preparation and review of the financial statements, MD& A, and Annual Information FormReconciling sub-ledger to general ledger account balancesPosting monthly, quarterly, and yearly accrualsSupporting technical accounting research and implementation of new accounting policies on an as need basisAssisting with initial internal control evaluationsABOUT YOU:You are a Certified Public Accountant with extensive experience in corporate reporting, prior experience preparing IFRS or US GAAP within a public company setting. Your expertise includes executing period end closes, supporting the preparation and review of financial statements, and MD& A, and the Annual Information Form. You are adept at reconciling sub-ledger to general ledger account balances and posting monthly, quarterly, and yearly accruals. Additionally, you can provide support for technical accounting research and the implementation of new accounting policies as needed. Your background also includes assisting with initial internal control evaluations, ensuring compliance and accuracy in financial reporting making you an integral part of financial teams.
