CAD Technician/Technicien CAD

The ideal candidate will have the following background, skills and attributes:Diploma of Collegial Studies (DCS) in Civil Engineering10+ years experience with an Engineering firm in transportation, rail, highways, ports and maritime related industries is considered an assetStrong analytical skills and comfortable facilitating multiple projects in a demanding environment with a willingness to work a flexible scheduleMust be a self starter with the ability to take direction from more experienced designers and engineers.Key Responsibilities:Prepare structural design drawings for ports, maritime, rail and highways transportation projects.Review of shop drawings prepared by a third party.Quality control according to engineering specifications and client requirements under the direction and supervision of a senior designer or engineer.Responsible for drafting quality control and interface with other disciplines.Responsible for keeping up with industry updates and current software, as well as internal processes.Experience with BIM software (Revit, Tekla, Dynamo) is an asset.Contribute to special projects (eg. internal drafting standards) as available or assigned. Technicien CADLe candidat idéal aura les antécédents, les compétences et les attributs suivants :Diplôme d'études collégiales (DEC) en génie civil.Une expérience de plus de 10 ans au sein d'une société d'ingénierie dans le domaine des transports, du rail, des autoroutes, des ports et des industries maritimes est considérée comme un atout.Solides compétences analytiques et aisance dans la gestion de projets multiples dans un environnement exigeant, avec la volonté de travailler selon un horaire flexible.Le candidat doit être autonome et capable de s'adapter aux directives de concepteurs et d'ingénieurs plus expérimentés.Principales responsabilités :Préparer des dessins de conception des structures pour des projets de transport portuaire, maritime, ferroviaire et routier.Examen des dessins d'atelier préparés par un tiers.Responsable du contrôle de la qualité des dessins et de l'interface avec les autres disciplines.Il doit se tenir au courant des mises à jour de l'industrie et des logiciels actuels, ainsi que des processus internes.Expérience avec des logiciels BIM (Revit, Tekla, Dynamo) est un atout.Contribuer à des projets spéciaux (p. ex. normes de dessin internes) selon les disponibilités ou les tâches assignées.
