The Director, Business Planning and Reporting plays a pivotal role in shaping the financial future of this leading energy provider. In this high-impact position, you will support the Vice President, Business Planning and Reporting in: Overseeing financial expenditures Preparing consolidated budgets Conducting comprehensive economic studies This role offers a unique opportunity to influence OPG's strategic initiatives and investment proposals, providing critical financial analysis and insights to the CFO and President. By leading the development of integrated corporate-wide business planning and performance management processes, you will be at the forefront of driving change and ensuring the organization's alignment with its strategic goals. Your contributions will be integral in setting standards, enhancing efficiency, and elevating the organization's financial planning and performance reporting capabilities. The ideal candidate will be a seasoned financial professional with a robust background in economic studies, budgeting, and financial analysis. You should have demonstrated experience in providing strategic financial insights to senior executives and possess a keen ability to benchmark and assess business performance. Your expertise in developing and implementing corporate financial initiatives and your capability to drive continuous improvement in planning processes are crucial. You are a proactive leader and agent of change, adept at structuring integrated business planning and performance management processes that align with corporate strategies. With strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset, you excel in coordinating across organizational units and with external stakeholders, ensuring accurate and efficient planning, performance reporting, and strategic decision-making. You will bring a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration (or a related field); Professional certification such as CPA, CA, or a Master’s degree or MBA is preferred.
