POSITION OVERVIEW

We are seeking talented and meticulous Operations Advisors entrusted with advancing the success of our business through exceptional customer service.

The successful candidates will ensure all shipments are well received, labeled, and merchandised, and play a critical role in creating a smooth and efficient customer experience by maintaining a well-organized and clean store environment.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Operations Advisor will be trained and will provide exceptional service to our valued clientele, helping them discover and embrace their individual beauty.

RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Customer Experience

  • Greet customers with warmth and empathy, and aid with their inquiries, addressing concerns, resolving complaints, and escalating issues when necessary, in order to ensure a positive and consistent shopping experience.
  • Assist customers with product selection, offer recommendations, and process sales transactions while providing up-to-date information on product features, promotions, and pricing.

2. Inventory Management

  • Receive, inspect, and process incoming merchandise shipments.
  • Unpack and organize products and ensure they are properly labeled and priced, according to company guidelines.
  • Perform regular inventory counts as well as monitor stock levels, reconciling discrepancies with the store’s inventory management system, and communicating with the store manager or purchasing department to reorder merchandise.

3. Store Operations

  • Restock and arrange merchandise (products, tools, and hygiene), inventory control, cleanliness/organization, and product allocation to ensure adequate stock levels and visual presentation at all times.
  • Monitor and report any maintenance or safety issues to the appropriate personnel.
  • Operate cash registers and handle financial transactions accurately, including cash, credit cards, and other forms of payment, as needed.
  • Follow opening and closing procedures, including cash reconciliation, and securing the store premises.
  • Collaborate and communicate effectively with team members by sharing information, feedback, and ideas, to foster trust and accountability and achieve store goals and objectives.
  • Support team members by assisting in training new employees on store operations, policies, and procedures, and helping during busy periods or when assistance is required.

5. Adherence to Policies

  • Adhere to company policies and procedures, including but not limited to, those related to safety, security, and cash handling.
  • Comply with applicable laws and regulations, such as those related to customer privacy and product handling.
  • Stay updated on product knowledge and industry trends through training sessions and informational materials.

THE FIRST SIX MONTHS

Months 1 – 6

Training, merchandising, and overall store opening, and operations.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE YOU WILL NEED

  • High school diploma and/or entry-level retail experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ideally bilingual in French and English.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Solid organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in handling inventory and transactions.
  • Basic math skills for cash handling and inventory calculations.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 kg.
  • Flexibility to work early mornings, late evenings, weekends, holidays, and overnight shifts.

BONUS POINTS IF YOU

  • Have previous experience in a retail or customer service environment.
  • Have in-depth knowledge of the luxury beauty market, including emerging trends and customer preferences.
  • Are a self-care and wellness ambassador.
