Vice President, FP&A

Location: Longueuil, QC — Possibility to work from home #LI-Remotemdf commerce Inc is an international team of approximately 650 experts who develop a broad set of SaaS solutions to optimize and accelerate commercial interactions of its B2B and B2G customers.We are currently seeking a Vice President, Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) to join our finance team. Working closely with members of the Executive Committee, you will be responsible for leading key strategic initiatives for mdf commerce, driving change with a vision for financial performance within the Finance team and for the business lines. You will oversee financial performance and support the planning of the organization’s strategic financial objectives. You will structure and reinforce the data-driven culture (BI) and deliver value-added information, working closely with the Data Engineer IT team and business lines.What will your main responsibilities look like?Provide value-added information and develop strategies to support profitable growth and value creation for the company.Provide relevant metrics, financial tracking and recommendations on strategic initiatives to ensure achievement of targeted results.Manage the annual budget process in close collaboration with Business Line Presidents and Shared Services VPs.Oversee the production of monthly and quarterly trend and variance analysis reports in collaboration with Corporate Accounting.Lead monthly reviews of forecast updates, financial analysis and key performance indicators (KPI) tracking with business lines and act as the primary liaison with their CFOs.Prepare presentations to the Board of Directors and Executive Team.Develop governance and oversee the KPI process under the responsibility of the function (SaaS KPIs, human resources, financial planning, strategic planning).Participate in special strategic projects related to the organization’s transformation.Ensure the ongoing development of team members through coaching.Be an ambassador of the company’s values.What elements of your professional background will be necessary and useful in this role?Strong leadership skills, with a proven ability to lead people through change, and building excellent cross-functional teams, including inspiring, attracting, selecting, developing and retaining top talent.Proven strategic thinking.Autonomous and results-oriented.Strong analytical skills and experience in modeling, delivery forecasting, budgeting and scenario analysis are essential.Ability to balance multiple objectives and deadlines within the context of the big picture.Ability to work and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.Hands-on approach and ability to be energetic.Make data-driven decisions and define key indicators to measure progress.Team player and collaborative.Excellent communication skills in French and English, both oral and written, due to frequent interactions with English and French-speaking internal and external colleagues and partners in Canada and the United States.University degree in accounting or other relevant field.Recognized professional designation (CPA) or equivalent.At least 10 years’ experience, particularly in financial modeling and budgeting.Minimum 3 years’ experience supporting the management team in the strategic planning process.Experience in business intelligence governance (an asset).Experience with financial/ERP systems and transformation projects.Knowledge of Business Central and/or Workday and ability to work with Power BI, Smartsheet or similar solutions (an asset).Thank you for your interest in mdf commerce.
