Join our team as a Systems Technician for Audiovisual Event Support! You will be at the forefront of designing, installing, maintaining, upgrading, and operating multimedia systems such as audio, video, videoconference, control, and other multimedia components. Your role will be pivotal in integrating new technology and equipment into our digital media infrastructure, ensuring they remain state-of-the-art. As a Systems Technician for Audiovisual Event Support, you will provide technical support, diagnosing and implementing solutions to keep systems operational. Your expertise will extend to analyzing and repairing deficient or defective systems and supporting new techniques and procedures. You'll play a crucial role in producing technical documentation, offering guidance to clients, and ensuring the highest quality standards for maintenance and repair activities. As part of this position, you must be willing to work onsite five days a week, weekends, shift work, early morning, daytime, and late evening shifts, and potentially be on call/overtime on short notice. If you are truly passionate about working with cutting edge technology and having a role in broadcasting Canadian democracy, this is the job for you.Training and development opportunities.Work-life balance /35-hour workweek4 weeks’ vacation (minimum) QualificationsEducation :Completion of trade school, college or university degree or diploma in a field related to audio-visual production, technical production, media arts and technology, electrical engineering, electronics or an acceptable combination of education, technical training, and experience.Experience : Minimum of 4 years of experience in technical support and problem solving for a wide range of equipment and systems (live events, audio/video, broadcasting, webcasting, videoconferencing and simultaneous interpretation), including finding solutions to technical problems;Experience in the design, testing and implementation of systems and equipment to respond to unique client requirements and event support parameters;Experience assisting with the management of small- to medium-sized projects; helping to define requirements; designing, documenting, testing, creating and implementing technical solutions and systems;Experience with high profile client relations and effective handling of service requests and technical issues.Assets :Knowledge of various technical equipment (live events, audio/video, broadcasting, webcasting, videoconferencing and simultaneous interpretation);Knowledge of the principles of electronics;Knowledge of how to install equipment racks: reading plans and technical diagrams cable and electrical systems management;Experience and/or training in Crestron, AMX, QSC, Extron, Media Matrix, Evertz, Televic and Bosch programming systems;Knowledge of the principles of network computing (types of routers and switches, basic IP, MAC).Additional InformationWe are committed to creating an inclusive workplace by providing a barrier-free recruitment and selection process.
