Our client, a leader in Geophysics & Exploration, has been at the forefront of manufacturing high-quality geophysical instrumentation for mining exploration since 1962. They are known for their innovation, quality, and reliability in their products. We are currently seeking a full-time Electrical Engineer to join their team.As an Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, development, and testing of low-noise induction coils, B-field sensors, and feedback coils for portable ground geophysical instruments used in both surface and borehole surveys.Perks & Benefits:Work with an innovative, passionate teamCompetitive base pay Ability to buy into the business after 1st year Competitive PTO Competitive health benefits What You Will Be Doing:Design, develop, and test geophysical instruments that meet the ruggedness requirements for operation in geophysical survey environments.Work within project goals and scheduled milestones.Perform schematic entry, PCB layout, design calculations, simulations, prototyping, and breadboarding.Lead and mentor shared resources assigned to instrument projects from concept through to manufacturing.Conduct tests (including some fieldwork) and evaluations to validate and qualify designs.Support the Repair & Field Survey Managers with instrument testing, field issues, and equipment training.What You Bring To The Table: Proven experience in designing low-noise induction sensors/coils and B-field sensors.-Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent education.-PEO license or eligibility for licensing as an engineer in Ontario.-Minimum of 10 years of related design experience.-Expertise in feedback coil design and shielding techniques.-Proficient in small signal analysis, including noise measurements.-Experience with roll, dip, and azimuth measurements and corrections for orientation.-Mixed circuit design experience, including instrumentation amplifiers, op-amps, D/A, A/D, and microcontroller interfacing.-Proficient in DSP techniques and FPGA design.-Experience with schematic entry, PCB layout, and simulation tools (e.g., PADS, PSPICE, Mathcad).If you're interested in working for a progressive growing company that values its employees with amazing benefits, opportunities for growth, and respect in the workplace, all proven by lengthy tenure, look no further.
