Position: Registered Veterinary Technologist (RVT)
Location: Nanaimo, British Columbia
Type: Full-Time
Shifts: Various shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays

Key Responsibilities:
Assist veterinarians with emergency and critical care procedures
Perform triage and initial patient assessments
Prepare and administer medications, treatments, and anesthesia
Monitor and manage hospitalized patients
Operate and maintain medical equipment
Educate pet owners on post-treatment care and wellness
Maintain accurate patient records
Qualifications:
Currently registered and in good standing with the BCVTA
Experience in veterinary emergency or critical care an asset but not required
Strong technical skills, including proficiency in anesthesia, radiology, and laboratory procedures
Availability to work shift work (overnights and weekends)
Ability to plan, organize and multi-task efficiently
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-stress environment
Compassionate and empathetic attitude towards patients and clients
