Required Qualifications and Skills The education. You have a Master’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology or a related clinical discipline from an accredited educational institution. You are registered, in good standing, with a professional college (e.g. OCSWSSW, CRPO), and you meet the qualifications to provide psychotherapy. The expertise. You have clinical experience in the children’s mental health sector, working with children and youth, families, and groups, and familiarity with associated systems (schools, community agencies). You have strong clinical knowledge and experience in relevant theoretical approaches (e.g. trauma-informed treatment, attachment, CBT, TF-CBT, etc.), including exposure to working on cases involving infant mental health, learning disabilities, family violence and trauma. You have clinical skills in assessment, formulation, and treatment with an ability to utilize flexible strategies for engaging and working with families, individuals, groups and larger systems. You are invested in contributing to ongoing research-informed program development. The therapeutic expertise. You can engage with children and parents of all ages and backgrounds with sensitivity, empathy, tact, and diplomacy at all times. You have exceptional communication skills and a proven ability to gain trust and nurture relationships. You have outstanding listening skills and demonstrate mental attentiveness in face-to-face and telephone interactions with clients, other service providers, community members, colleagues and managers. You can balance priorities and manage interruptions that require constant refocusing. You can handle crisis situations and unplanned drop-ins when they occur. You prioritize self-care. Required Experience You have a Master’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology or a related clinical discipline from an accredited educational institution. Responsibility Supervise. You will oversee the daily and overarching work of assigned clinicians, ensuring adherence to manuals and processes in place to provide exceptional, research-based clinical services to our clients. You will lead, develop, and establish direction and work priorities for the clinical staff in alignment with service and work plans for each program under your supervision. You will respond to elevated client concerns and complaints. Plan and evaluate. You will ensure that clinical practices are evidence-based, meet ethical and professional standards, are family-centered, and are congruent with the mission and direction of the agency. You will monitor the volume of service delivered against approved agency standards and anticipate emerging service patterns, issues, and needs. Be involved at the clinical level. You will maintain a current knowledge of relevant clinical practices and theoretical models. You will support your assigned clinicians as they deliver therapeutic programming that offers linkages to parents, children, and youth that balances a responsive, professional model with empowerment and mutual aid philosophies. You will monitor progress toward goals and modify the treatment plan as indicated. You will keep up to date with the latest proven clinical practices, providing ongoing coaching and teaching to your team.
