RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONSRole OverviewWe are looking for an intermediate / senior associate to join our consulting and business advisory team. In particular, we are seeking a versatile professional who has a generalist public accounting background (with exposure to both GAAP and tax), together with experience in (or the desire for) accounting-adjacent consulting. This variety can be challenging for some but, for the right person, it opens doors to constant learning, personal growth, and a rewarding career. We have laid out some of the performance expectations below but, to be honest, the sky is the limit – if you find a way to make the firm better – just do it!Performance Expectations·        Assist in providing fractional CFO and controllership assistance to clients, including helping companies with financial reporting under International Financial Reporting Standards (“IFRS”);·        Assist clients with merger, acquisition, and divestiture transactions from start to finish;·        Assist clients with the preparation of forward-looking forecasts and operating budgets;·        Assist in reviewing client’s internal controls and processes, and remediate any identified deficiencies; and·        Assist clients with accounting system clean-ups and software migrations.Credentials·        Undergraduate degree with a specialization in accounting;·        Minimum of 2 full years of Canadian public accounting experience;·        Strong knowledge of GAAP (IFRS preferred);·        Experience with working paper software such as Caseware, CCH Engagement, or other;·        Knowledge of corporate and personal income tax rules;·        Experience with tax preparation software such as TaxPrep, Profile, or other;·    Experience in any accounting-adjacent consulting or business advisory work is considered a strong asset. Examples include:o   Mergers & Acquisitions (“M&A”)o   Financial reporting assistance / fractional CFOo   Budget and forecast preparationo   Internal controls and processeso   Accounting system migrationso   Quality of Earnings (“QOE”) reportso   Due diligence services·        Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel;·        Detail-oriented, organized, and able to meet tight deadlines;·        Effective written and verbal communication skills; and·        Strong interpersonal and client service skills.Salary Expectations$75,000 to $85,000
