AWS Solutions ArchitectDuration: 6 months contract, high possibility of extensionHours: 40 hours per weekLocation: Toronto, 2 days per week on siteProject Overview: This project involves revamping the flight shopping and booking system, including the development of a single-page application (SPA) and integration of various APIs within the AWS environment. The role requires a deep understanding of the interaction between SPAs and APIs, with a focus on AWS serverless architecture.Key Responsibilities:Develop and maintain UML diagrams for processes related to the new shopping and booking portals, including third-party API integration.Focus on the middle/API layer rather than user interfaces or databases.Collaborate closely with the Lead Solutions Architect to gather requirements and assign tasks.Document each API and Lambda function in Confluence, including Implementation Feedback Reviews (IFRs), and provide these to the development teams.Conduct Proof of Concepts (POCs) as needed to explore new solutions.Essential Skills and Experience:AWS Serverless Architecture: Minimum of 3+ years of hands-on experience with:AWS LambdaStep FunctionsDynamoDBAppSync or other API-related servicesCloudWatch / X-Ray (monitoring)S3 (storage)AWS Cognito & AWS WAF (firewall)Diagramming Tools: Proficiency in Draw.io or LucidChart (Spark Key).Preferred Skills:Experience with GraphQL.Technical Environment:Agile methodology, including sprints and Confluence for documentation.Candidate Profile:Solutions Architect with 3-5+ years of AWS experience.Suitable for candidates with an engineering or tech lead background who possess strong documentation and diagramming skills.Bachelor’s degree or higher required; a master’s degree is preferred.AWS Developer or AWS Solutions Architect certification is preferred but not required.Employee Type:ContractLocation:Toronto, ON, CAJob Type:Applications and Data Management #J-18808-Ljbffr
