Senior Application Support (capital markets applications)

Our client in the financial sector is looking for a contract based IT Support AnalystResponsibilities:Application Support: Design, lead, and deliver effective application support, investigate root causes, oversee executions, and maintain documentation.Technical Expertise: Serve as a technical expert, resolve issues, and lead job-related actions.Day-to-Day Operations: Coordinate day-to-day support activities, data processing, and issue management.Operational Monitoring: Implement operational monitoring processes and manage job schedules.Stakeholder Support: Assist various business units, including Investment Management and Risk, in reporting and performance tasks.User Access Control: Manage user access, including onboarding and offboarding activities.Vendor Liaison: Work with external vendors to address technical and stakeholder requirements.Environment Stability: Collaborate on maintaining production configurations, monitoring, and system upgrades.Operational Risk Management: Identify and mitigate operational risks in investment applications.Process Mapping: Perform detailed business process mapping and document findings related to investment applications support.Requirements:5+ years supporting investment applications in capital markets and asset management.3+ years leading or directly supporting investment applications users.Strong domain knowledge in IT service management, including incident management, change management, configuration management, and operations management.Solid understanding of internal and external investment workflows and trading lifecycles. Strong working knowledge of investment workflow and processing requirements for all instrument types. Prior involvement with internal and external operational audits preferred.Working experience with CIBC Nexen, MyStateStreet, Bloomberg Trading and Execution Platforms, Bloomberg terminals, SSCNet, Eagle (Data Management, Performance and Accounting Solutions), SQL, MSCI Risk Manager, BarraOne, Refinitiv
