About the Role: Financial Operations AnalystThis is a great opportunity for a candidate with a strong drive and excited to get into the private equity/lending space. This position will report directly to the CFO and be a blend of full cycle accounting duties and planning and analysis accounting duties providing support to several functional areas within the finance team. The Financial Operations Analyst position allows a candidate with fully cycle bookkeeping experience to add a wealth of knowledge and skillsets. With exposure to areas such as fundraising, financial modeling of funds, and investor relations. Growth opportunities to the investment side of the business are a high possibility for a successful candidate.Responsibilities: Tax management – quarterly sales tax (GST/HST) filings, handling of CRA audits, phoning CRA for questionsPayroll – bi-weekly payroll, employee on- and off-boarding (incl. ROEs), T4/T4A issuance, basic knowledge of ESAAudits – preparation of YE financials, handling of annual auditsCash – processing of employee expenses & vendor payments mostly in RBC Express, issuance of invoices, and managing cash inflowsBookkeeping in Quick Books Online for the operating entity (corp) – monthly working papers & financialsRequired Skills: Preparing simple bi-weekly cash flow forecastsIssuance of reporting to investors using specialized portfolio management system (must be generally very software-literate)Managing third-party firm that does bookkeeping for the Fund entity (sending invoices, responding to queries, etc.)Participate in the budgeting and planning processAssist with fundraising and investor communicationsAssist with financial modeling of the funds, incl. IRRAssisting with legal matters, navigating governing documentsParticipate in investor & borrower relations, including issuance of capital calls, payment collections, distributions, monthly reportingAssistance in governance, including Board and committee meetings
