Corporate Director, Engineering & Projects

As the Corporate Director, of Engineering & Projects, you will:Serve as the lead Director of Engineering and Project Management across our properties, providing guidance and support to maintenance managers, Chief Engineers, and General Managers.Act as a mentor and leader to Property Engineering Managers and projects team, ensuring high standards of property maintenance knowledge.Oversee the maintenance of multiple buildings, grounds, and physical plants, prioritizing safety, security, and asset protection.Manage budgets, capital expenditure projects, preventative maintenance, and energy conservation initiatives to maximize financial performance.Develop and implement strategies to meet or exceed guest and employee expectations while adhering to standards and regulatory requirements.Participate in emergency response teams for facility issues.Managing Engineering Operations and Budgets:Oversee physical plant operations, including equipment, HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems, in compliance with local codes and regulations.Administer service contracts and oversee training of engineering teams.Implement strategies for managing and controlling expenses, including preventative maintenance plans.Project Planning and Execution:Lead multiple projects from initiation to closure, including renovations, upgrades, and new installations.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project scopes, objectives, and timelines.Manage procurement processes, contract negotiations, and vendor relationships.Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.Ensure compliance with regulations and maintain life safety systems.Review and update building and equipment certifications.Manage profitability, including budget development and expense management.Requirements6 years' experience in senior management or a 2-year degree with 4 years' experience in engineering and maintenance.Strong knowledge of maintenance best practices, building systems, and regulatory requirements.Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.Proficiency in problem-solving, analytical thinking, and decision-making.Ability to work independently and in a team, with flexibility and willingness to travel and respond to emergencies.Leadership, Communication, Problem Solving, Professional Demeanor.Learning and Applying Professional Expertise: Applied Learning, Business Acumen, Technical Acumen.Building Relationships, Generating Talent and Organizational Capability, Managing Execution.
