Our public sector client is seeking a Sr. Infrastructure Engineer to migrate DNS, decommission Solaris and migrate BMC Remedy to BMC Helix - NCCS. Initially a 6-months to start. Must Have: 5+ years experience working with DNS and DHCP servers. 10+ years with Perl scripting. 10+ years with Solaris servers. Experience working with BMC Remedy, especially Action Request System (ARS) and/or Helix. Deliverables: 1.1 DNS Migration: · Migrate existing in-house DNS services and data to a third-party application, ensuring minimal disruption to operational services. · Transition Windows DNS services for a designated set of devices into the selected third-party application. 1.2 Solaris Decommissioning: · Provide expert advice on the decommissioning process for existing Solaris servers and migration to Linux-based servers. · Assess and advise on the migration or retirement of custom Perl scripts currently running on Solaris servers. 1.3 BMC Remedy to BMC Helix Migration: · Migrate custom applications (that use ARS and Perl) currently running on the BMC Remedy platform to the BMC Helix. · Offer in-depth analysis and advice on data transformation and migration strategies supporting the Remedy-to-Helix transition. · Collaborate with BMC vendors to determine appropriate data mapping, transformation strategies, and development methodologies for the Ministry's existing BMC Forms. · Thoroughly analyze existing DNS data to support planning activities, ensure data integrity, and optimize deployment sequences. 1.4 Documentation and Deliverables: · Deliver comprehensive electronic and/or hard copies of all project-related materials, including technical and data architecture, migration plans, and any other documentation produced during the contract. · Ensure all documentation is clear, detailed, and sufficient for ongoing maintenance and future reference. 1.5 Knowledge Transfer and Capacity Building: · The contractor will be responsible for ensuring a seamless transition of services, providing expert advice, and enhancing the knowledge base of internal staff. #J-18808-Ljbffr
