We are currently looking for a Digital Platform Manager at our Corporate Officers in Ajax, ON

The Digital Platform Manager is accountable to the Director, Digital Portfolio and Enterprise Architecture for the management and delivery of digital solutions supporting the goals of Audi in the North American Region (NAR). Specifically, this technical role is responsible for the development and maintenance of digital back-end technologies, ensuring they support business objectives and that solutions are aligned between Audi Canada, US, and AUDI AG. This role collaborates with various organizational teams to create digital solutions that meet customer needs and improve the overall customer experience.

This Digital Platform Manager is responsible to ensure alignment across all Audi digital platforms within Audi Canada and the US. This role will ensure that all technical requirements are in line with our Audi business strategy, compliance and will work closely with the operational teams to ensure successful delivery. Specifically, this role will work together with cross-functional teams including the Digital Portfolio team, technical architects and across departments to ensure that the right strategy and key moments within the seamless customer journey are implemented successfully. This role requires the steering of different parties and vendors beyond internal stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Digital Platform Management

  • Digital back-end technology lead across Audi departments supporting alignment between business goals and achievable technical solutions.
  • Monitor and manage the technical operations of Audi NAR digital properties including Audi brand and Audi dealer websites.
    • Manage tasks and respond to actions that support the performance, stability, and security of digital platforms.
    • Leading triaging efforts with IT&S, Audi teams, and vendors to swiftly resolve issues and enhance digital platforms.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, and be a technical liaison between IT, legal, marketing, sales, and Audi RED to launch new digital features and support compliance requirements.
    • Assist in development activities including Quality Assurance (QA) testing and post release verifications.
    • Monitor digital platform traffic, user engagement, and business KPIs to identify opportunities for optimization, improvement, and to identify outages/platform up time.
    • Provide training and support to Audi team members on the use of digital platforms, backends, development, and collaboration related tools.
    • Create and maintain technical documentation including system diagrams, technical specifications, testing and quality assurance plans, operations and compliance.
    • Proficiency in using modern digital technologies including Adobe Experience Cloud and Salesforce products. Technically proficient with team collaboration technologies including JIRA, Confluence, as well as developer tools including Apollo Studio, Swagger and GitHub.
    • Lead the digital backend workstream in a product owner role overseeing prioritization and management of the team through Digital Planning Session (DPS) activities.
  • Manage the onboarding for new internal and agency digital team members/developers and empower NAR team members in development and collaboration by managing tools and technology set-ups.
  • Regularly collaborate with the Regional Digital Strategists and digital NAR teams on Audi projects and platform decisions.
Digital Portfolio and Enterprise Architecture

  • Actively participate and support the Audi Digital Portfolio Process and NAR projects. Collaborate on planning processes with business and delivery teams to prioritize digital projects, allocating resources, meeting budget requirements and objective KPIs.
  • Bridge between IT, sales, marketing and legal teams, leveraging a blend of business acumen and technical expertise to align objectives and deliver effective digital solutions that meet functional and compliance requirements.
  • Work with NAR legal to be aware of and ensure the country specific compliance requirements for digital platforms. Inform necessary teams of any new requirements & plan accordingly.
  • Manage timelines, budgets and quality of defined projects together with the cross-functional team, agencies and Audi headquarters.
  • Create and expand relationships within group, vendor and agency partners across the organization. Network with contacts to support decision making and problem resolution.
  • Manage vendor relationships to foster collaboration, drive innovation, and resolve issues.

Digital Reporting

  • Monitor uptime and content accuracy across consumer facing digital properties.
  • Analyze digital platform performance metrics and collaborate with the analytics team in report and dashboard building. Provide regular reporting and analysis updates to stakeholders on digital platform performance.
  • Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to monitor, optimize lead generation, and conversions.
  • Manage and maintain technical performance reporting systems to uphold website functionality and smooth customer journeys.

Digital Regulatory and Compliance – Canada

  • Manage and maintain technical and policy adherence to customer consent, website data privacy, and accessibility requirements. Regularly collaborate with legal to ensure ongoing compliance for Audi.ca and digital properties.
  • Ensure pricing and inventory data is delivered, accurate and compliant.
  • Monitor and resolve technical issues related to compliance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related technical field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 5+ years of technical experience as well as experience in leading technical projects and teams.
  • Business and / or IT business process focus
  • Relevant project management experience
  • Demonstrated ability to prepare and present project strategies and plans to stakeholders
  • Capable of managing complex projects in dynamic environments
  • Capabilities of building and setting up a cohesive team and work cross-functionally
  • Strong technical experience including GraphQL, APIs, JavaScript, and a wide range of technologies and platforms such as Adobe and Salesforce product suites
  • Ability to understand complex business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Strong communication skills – interpersonal, presentation and written.
  • Agile development experience and able to adapt to changing requirements and deadlines.
  • Understand and apply design patterns and software architecture principles to create maintainable and extensible systems.
  • Debug and troubleshoot complex technical issues, using a range of tools and techniques.
  • A deep understanding of software design principles and best practices, including security and performance considerations.
  • Mentor and lead teams, providing guidance and support to help them achieve their objectives.
  • Skills in negotiation, influencing and problem solving.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and projects.
  • Passion for automotive and the Audi brand.
  • Developer Background (Web & Mobile Apps)

Desired Skills

  • Previously worked in automotive or other industries or in the same environment or position.
  • Knowledge of the automotive industry including technology, operations, and business environment.
  • Enterprise Architecture
  • PMP and/or Scrum certifications
  • Technical Product Ownership
  • Experience with application development languages.
  • Experience with micro-services and API development languages and frameworks.
  • Experience with relational databases.
