As a member of the engineering team, you will integrate into our growing agile scrum team.The role may also require participation in various project related meetings and reviews such as customer facing design reviews and supporting internal and external test events.Your role:Build new software components and services that seamlessly integrate user interface with backend services;Write clean code that effectively communicates its own functionality;Help improve our quality by making necessary improvements to our code and our processes;Participate in our Scrum activities, design sessions and code reviews;Assist in the allocation of system requirements to software components;Effectively communicate technical and product knowledge to stakeholders at various levels such as engineers, product managers, engineering managers, architects and upper management;Collaborate with team members and stakeholders in discovering best practices and patterns for continuous improvement;Maintain a strong sense of accountability and ownership of the solutions produced.What We Are Looking For:Solid understanding of SDLC and processes in agile development environment using the Scrum methodologies and preferably with tools such as Jira, Bitbucket, Jenkins and Nexus;Experience with .NET Framework and WPF;Experience providing technical leadership with peers and stakeholders;Experience with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, SQL);Experience working in a collaborative environment;Excellent interpersonal, written/verbal communication.The “nice to haves”:Knowledge/experience with Software automation (CI/CD pipeline);Knowledge/experience SDLC within the military industry;Experience contributing to technical design documentation.Security ClearanceIt is a condition of employment that the successful candidate receive a secret level security clearance.To obtain such a clearance, the candidate must:Be either a Canadian citizen or permanent resident of Canada;Have lived in Canada continuously for the past 10 years & not have a criminal record;Be able to obtain a Canadian Industrial Security Clearance to NATO SECRET level;Be eligible for International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and Controlled Goods Regulations Program (CGRP) government clearances.If your qualifications meet the job description & key requirements, we'd love to hear from you!Job Type: Full-time, PermanentPlease submit your application on-line today.Special needs of candidates with disabilities will be accommodated.
