National Bank Trust is looking for a dynamic leader who can mobilize and direct an institutional team. As head of Custody, Investment Fund Management and ETF Services, you will contribute to the development of National Bank Trust’s strategy while ensuring sound business governance, product evolution, and client satisfaction in your sector. You will work with internal and external clients as well as prospective clients to maximize our revenues and the profitability of our offering.  Full service support is central to your responsibilities. It will be essential to develop strong relationships with partners in operations, financial markets, National Bank Investments, IT and all of the Bank’s support teams to ensure that our service offering is optimal.Your job:Reporting to the President and CEO of National Bank Trust, your main responsibilities will be to:Manage your sector’s financial performance in order to achieve profitability and business development objectivesMaximize the growth of National Bank Trust’s custody activities while improving other sectors’ efficiency and profitability through partnerships and referralsIdentify new high-potential markets and implement development strategies in collaboration with our Bank partnersTake charge of the strategy and evolution of our custody products, investment funds and ETFs by prioritizing the developments needed in order to have a competitive solution in the market, increase operational efficiency, and improve the client experienceIn collaboration with the Communications Manager, support marketing strategy efforts to promote service offeringsDemonstrate active engagement in RFPs, due diligence processes, pricing strategy and negotiation of internal and external agreementsEstablish a climate of trust within the organization and with various internal partners to ensure an adequate level of service and efficient processesWork with various Bank departments to establish customer service policies and standards that will ensure client satisfaction See to the quality of services offered and develop strategies to ensure client loyaltyBe the contact and escalation point for internal clients and partnersProvide mobilizing leadership for the team’s experts and with the sector’s partnersMaximize each team member’s contribution by setting performance objectives based on the business plan, while encouraging innovationAct as an NBT ambassador both inside and outside the Bank by promoting our services and educating the teams about the role of securities custodianParticipate in industry events to promote our service offering and ensure National Bank Trust’s visibilityKeep pace with competition and with market and regulatory changes Make sure our governance processes have a robust design in order to meet regulatory requirements, implement controls, and support required technological developmentsDevelop key performance indicators, identify current issues, and implement action plans to improve quality in line with the Trust’s business strategyPrepare documents and presentations required for the Executive Committee and Risk Management CommitteeProvide executive and administrative leadership for activities related to the Bank’s securities custody, including participation in the budget process, development and implementation of policies, and presentation of sector objectivesParticipate in National Bank Trust’s Executive Committee and actively help develop the sector’s strategic plan and budgetPrerequisites:Bachelor’s degree in a related field, and 15 years of relevant experience, or Master’s degree in a related field, and 10 years of relevant experienceExperience in custody services, preferably with a trust company at a financial institution, and excellent understanding of the distinctions between personal and institutional trust servicesKnowledge of trends, products and technology in the banking industry, trust companies and wealth managementRecognized expertise in securities custody, investment funds and ETFsIn-depth knowledge of custody and fund accounting operationsLeadership and collaboration experience in a multi-sector environmentProven expertise in delivering far-reaching strategic and technological initiativesStrong business development focus and experience managing P&LAbility to work in partnership with different key securities custody players within the organizationCompetencies:Deep strategic thinking with an ability to solve problems and work in consultation mode with clients to exceed their expectationsExcellent written and oral communication skillsComfortable with ambiguityAbility to exercise judgement in decision-makingAbility to include risk analysis and stringent control monitoring in day-to-day operationsAbility to foster teamwork and motivate employeesAbility to work with demanding clients and diverse groups of people Your benefitsIn addition to competitive compensation, upon hiring you’ll be eligible for a wide range of flexible benefits to help promote your wellbeing and that of your family.Health and wellness program, including many optionsFlexible group insuranceGenerous pension planEmployee Share Ownership PlanEmployee and Family Assistance ProgramPreferential banking servicesOpportunities to get involved in community initiativesTelemedicine serviceVirtual sleep clinicThese are a few of the benefits available to you.
