REPORTS TO: TRC Executive Director
Position Overview
The Pathways Program Director is responsible for the oversight and coordination of the Teen Resource Centre’s (TRC) Pathways to Education program daily activities and services. They provide leadership and supervision while promoting interdisciplinary practice and collaboration. The Pathways Program Director ensures quality programs and services are delivered and promotes continuous quality improvement through all systems and processes, in collaboration with TRC and the national Pathways to Education program. They collaborate with related academic and social support services and other relevant community resources. They also participate actively in the national Pathways network and related working groups and events.
Qualifications
Post-secondary degree in a relevant field of Education, Community Development or Social Sciences and five years of relevant employment experience including leadership and supervisory experience.
A combination of education and work experience could be considered together in the selection of potential candidates.
Experience working in or directly with community organizations.
Demonstrated experience with program implementation and development, or piloting services.
Experience developing policies and procedures, designing and delivering services is a significant asset.
Experience developing, managing and reporting on budgets.
Demonstrated experience with grant applications, tracking and evaluation, and report writing.
Satisfactory criminal record check and clear vulnerable sector search.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Strong communication, decision-making and organizational skills.
Excellent writing skills.
Proficiency in relevant computer applications (Microsoft Office and data management platforms).
Understanding of and passion for supporting youth.
A genuine commitment to service integration and improving service experiences for youth.
Staff mentorship and development skills.
The ability to lead a positive working environment.
Relationship and team building skills with a wide variety of stakeholders.
Excellent self-management skills in high pressure situations.
Understanding of and experience with fund development, philanthropic engagement, and planning.
Working Conditions:
The work week is 37.5 hours.
Flexible work schedules may be required to meet operational requirements.
Access to reliable transportation is necessary.
Work in various settings or in partnership with other youth serving agencies is expected.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $60,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
