We are currently looking to fill the position of Corporate Communications Advisor.As the ideal candidate, you are a talented communicator who is eager to take on a variety of communications projects and find opportunities to connect with both internal and external audiences through various channels.Key elements of this role include:Assist in managing and enhancing our presence on various social media and other digital platforms.Support social media content creation and channels (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube) when required.Writing for social and web (blogs, posts).Working closely with our Senior Communications Advisor (Internal), you will assist with implementing internal communications strategies and projects.Provide operational support for internal events, including logistical and communications requirements.Writing and content development, including drafting, editing and distributing communications through various channels.Lead the gathering of content, writing and editing of stories for the company’s bi-weekly internal employee newsletter.Assist with implementing media relations strategies and projects.Provide operational support for external events, including logistical and communications requirements.Maintain media contact lists and messaging documentation, monitor media mailbox and provide support for media inquiries.Perform a dedicated storm role on the Communications team as needed.Provide support for rotational weekend on-call work.Perform other communications duties as assigned.These skills will make you successful:Degree or diploma in Public Relations, Communications, or equivalent work-related experience.3+ years of experience in Communications.An understanding of Corporate Communications.Tech-savvy with Intermediate/Advanced skills in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams.Strong interpersonal, communication and listening skills.Strong writing and editing skills.Highly self-motivated with the ability to learn quickly and solve problems.Strong organization and planning skills.Detail-oriented but also understands strategy and sees the big picture.Strong project management skills with a consistent focus on prioritizing projects, communicating project status and meeting deadlines.Ability to work independently, often with minimal supervision, in a fast-paced environment.Ability to multitask, take initiative and manage multiple projects simultaneously.Ability to work under pressure and can easily adapt to competing and/or rapidly changing priorities and sees opportunity in change.We understand that experience comes in many forms, and we’re dedicated to adding new perspectives to the team.
