Our client has an exciting opportunity located in the Northwest Territories, for a motivated Operational Technology Technician with a background in Electrical work within Mobile Maintenance sector. The role involves managing and maintaining various site digital, communication, and mining systems, along with providing electrical support to the Mobile Truck Shop as needed. The ideal candidate will be dedicated to safe working practices and committed to achieving zero harmResponsibilities include but are not limited to the following: Work with a team to conduct job risk assessments and safe work plans.Strong commitment to safetyMaintain understanding and updates of in-house wiring and network architecture.Work with OEMs, Mining and Technical departments to ensure support is readily available and ensure maximum equipment utilization is realized; ·Identify and mobilize the necessary technical, subject matter experts and systems skills to address implementation issues on Operational Technology projects.Negotiate and manage external vendor relationships for timely provision of specialist resources.Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, stakeholders, senior leadership and build relationships across the business.Ability to change and make decisions under uncertain conditions.Ability to problem solving and proficient in technical fault-finding practices.Project management practices and multi-disciplinary project teams.Proficient understanding of principals such as lifecycle planning, budget estimation and Risk Management.Ability to work in Arctic conditions and a remote mine site operation.This position will be a site-based position working 14 days in/14 days out rotation. Valid Journeyperson certification in Electrical required.A minimum of 7 years of experience in the following areas is preferred:Diagnosing faults or malfunctions and determining necessary repairs on various types of heavy mining equipment.Conducting electrical repairs and performing preventative maintenance.Installing and deploying radio and mesh communication systems on heavy mining equipment.Certification in Fiber Optics.Experience with HP soldering and end terminations for CAT 5/6, coax, fiber, and RF systems.
