Location: Montreal, QC

Type: Contract

Responsibilities

The installation, configuration, and maintenance of multiple Oracle DBMS environments
Proactive monitoring and Auditing of all databases
Backup, recovery, disaster recovery and housekeeping tasks
Incident, capacity, and performance management for both production and development environments and databases
Consult in design of efficient tables and indexes, apply table and view modifications.
Monitor and tune database performance.
Maintain security of databases by granting and revoking of privileges
Utilize Database Utilities for the DBMS
On-call rotation and out of hours working to support incidents and changes
Significant hands-on experience with a combination of Oracle 12.x and 19c databases
Strong UNIX experience
Experience with logical and physical database design.
backup, recovery, and housekeeping
performance monitoring and tuning
Strong SQL and scripting skills
In-depth knowledge of DataGuard, RMAN, and RAC
Experience with AWS
2 or more years technical support experience in Oracle databases on Red Hat Linux
Located in Montreal for hybrid work model.
Experience with Oracle Grid Control, TOAD, DBArtisan and SQL Developer.
