Civil Designer

Responsibilities: Reporting to the Director of Civil-Structural Engineering, the Civil Designer is responsible for the following:Participating in the design and production of the 3D models, the 2D drawings and the specifications related to civil works such as road networks, earthworks, ditches, drinking water systems, sanitary and storm water systems, berms, excavations, storage volume retention capacity (berm capacity), the railway network (an asset); Coordinating and processes site survey data (including site scans) and work connected with geotechnical engineers;Coordinating the work with the different disciplines; Maintaining technical knowledge to ensure appropriate practices are incorporated into designs;Good knowledge of codes and standards for the different provinces and good engineering practices;Reviewing and commenting on supplier drawings;Preparing estimates for material take-offs and construction estimates, including reports from software; Assisting in the preparation of specifications and tender documents; Monitoring work/site visits, resolve site issues, list of deficiencies (as required);Skills:Minimum 5 to 10 years’ experience using Civil 3d;Earthwork experience, Site grading, underground utilities, roads design and storm water managementExperience in the oil and gas sector;Excellent written and verbal communication skills English, French is an asset;Excellent knowledge of Civil 3D, 3DReshaper, Autocad, Prosteel (an asset), Advance Steel (an asset), Navisworks and Microsoft Office Suites;Offer:Great opportunity to work in a human centric company, offering growth opportunities; Competitive salary; Hybrid work and flexible hoursInteresting insurance and pension plans
