Your Opportunity Join Stantec as an Air Quality Project Manager to lead the preparation of pollutant release inventories and air quality studies. The role requires occasional travel outside the office to visit industrial sites, mainly in Quebec. You will work in a team with other specialists such as engineers, technicians, and draftsmen. The position is based in either Ville St-Laurent, Montreal, or Quebec City. Your key responsibilities Collect and interpret data and information (in the office and on client sites). Analyze and interpret data. Atmospheric emissions inventory calculations. Atmospheric dispersion modeling. Technical writing and editing of reports. Liaise with clients. Participate in service development by identifying business opportunities. Write service proposals. Provide guidance, coaching, and support to staff in your areas of expertise. Collaborate with professionals from other Stantec business units in Quebec (building engineering, transportation) to provide environmental support for their projects. Ensure that budgets and deadlines are respected. Qualifications Your background Bachelor's degree in engineering or environmental sciences. Minimum 5 years of relevant experience. Experience in atmospheric dispersion modeling of stationary and mobile emission sources using modeling programs such as AERMOD, CALPUFF, CAL3QHC, MOVES, etc. Proficiency in preparing emission synthesis and dispersion modeling reports, preferably in compliance with Quebec regulatory requirements. Project management experience in a consulting engineering environment. Proven experience with regulatory agencies on behalf of clients. Experience supervising and mentoring more junior staff. Excellent communication skills (written & verbal) in French. Knowledge of English is required to facilitate collaboration with our internal teams outside Quebec or with our clients. Thorough knowledge of Excel. A valid driver's license is required. Your keys to success Master's degree or doctorate in engineering. Experience in ambient air quality monitoring and stack testing. Experience in greenhouse gas quantification, verification, mitigation, and reduction planning. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
