Senior Associate, Land Acquisition

The Senior Associate, Land Acquisition will be responsible for managing, developing, interpreting, and maintaining complex financial models to assist with decisions surrounding the acquisitions of residential development sites as well as other financial analysis regarding development decisions.This role is located at our Empire Canada Head Office in Vaughan, ON.What We Are Looking For:Post-secondary education in Real Estate, Planning, Finance, Civil Engineering or related field of study3+ years’ experience in residential development and/or financeAdvanced knowledge and experience in real estate underwriting, valuation, and modellingAdvanced proficiency in Excel and financial modellingBonus If You Have These Skills:Experience working with consultants during the due diligence process to identify issues and challenges related to development sites to determine potential financial impactsAbility to conceptualize complicated deal structuresExperience in business case and data analysis to support decision makingWhat You’ll Be Doing Each Day:Preparing investment packages, status reports, presenting findings, and other duties as requiredAcquisition analysis and providing recommendations based on complex financial modellingProforma analysis to review and assess various development optionsWho We Are:We are one of North America’s largest private homebuilders, with locations in Ontario, Texas, Georgia, the Carolinas, and Tennessee.There is no set path at Empire; we offer you the opportunity to build your career in ways you never imagined.
