Position Details The Student Enrolment and Registrar Services (SEARS) Office requires the services of 2 part-time (approx 10 hours per week) temporary Student Information Clerk (Work to Learn) to commence work: September 3, 2024 to April 30, 2025. Students, staff, and faculty need a friendly person to answer their questions in a direct, clear, confident, and professional manner. The SEARS Office is the primary point of contact for students and the community to receive reliable information, support, and advice on a wide range of topics. The SEARS Office is the public face for the University of Lethbridge services. The SEARS Office is the students’ problem-solving destination. As an Information Clerk, you will assist students through their entire education cycle from application to convocation. This is a customer service position delivering front-line service to students, staff, faculty, and the general public. The successful candidate must have excellent interpersonal skills and will be responsible for fielding inquiries and communicating information regarding university policy and procedures pertaining to a variety of areas (including but not limited to) timetabling, admissions and registration processes. These inquiries may be in person, via email or by telephone. Other duties include processing data entry, operating a multi-line phone system, assistance to other units in the SEARS Office and additional duties as assigned. Hourly Rate: $26.38/Hour Position Qualifications Experience in delivering a high standard of customer service when dealing with the public, excellent keyboarding skills and accuracy, good communication, analytical and organizational skills, the ability to exercise independent judgement, the ability to multi-task, and the ability to maintain effective working relationships with the University community is essential. Experience with Microsoft office and Outlook is an asset. Eligibility requirements include: student must be an undergraduate, domestic student; must be a full-time student in Academic Good Standing, must demonstrate financial need by completing a scholarship application (especially section on financial need as per https://uleth.academicworks.ca/users/sign_in) Feel free to consult with the Scholarships and Student Finance office to ensure eligibility.
