Reporting to the Chief Pilot, the Chief Pilot Standards is responsible for all air crew Standard Operating Procedures and oversees the continual development of company standard operating procedures, flight crew policies and programs. They will ensure that the documented policies and procedures are regulatory compliant, while continuously evaluating and auditing for effectiveness and efficiency.Personal CharacteristicsCustomer service-oriented with a commitment to exceptional serviceHighly flexible, with the ability to respond quickly in a dynamic environmentProfessional and respectful, with a positive work attitudeTimely with a high level of commitment to on-time performance is essentialMotivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a teamEffective verbal and written communication skillsHigh level of respect, understanding and regard for First Nations communitiesAble to think critically and act logically to evaluate situations and provide sound judgmentAble to build and maintain lasting relationships with all departments, business partners and customersStrong leadership and supervisory skillsSuperior time management skills, multitasking skills and the ability to prioritize tasksHigh level of integrity, confidentiality and accountabilityStrong problem solving and analytical skillsAble to effectively train and develop personnel within their departmentWilling to take initiative to make personal and organizational improvementsKey Responsibilities and AccountabilitiesAccept responsibility as delegated by the Chief Pilot for tasks and assignments associated with the managing of policies, pilot procedures and SMS administrationBuild and maintain documented pilot operating policies and procedures while maintaining a focus on safety, regulatory compliance and effectivenessAudit and maintain the company Flight Crew Training ManualThe continuous promotion of positive employee engagement with respect to Customer Satisfaction and On-Time PerformanceAssist in conducting aircraft and/or simulator and ground training as requiredCoordinate with third party service providers on 703/704/705 aircraft operations, e.g. performance data, charter flight coordination, Nav Canada, airport authorities, etc.Assist as required with day-to-day oversight and supervision of pilot groupsCoordinate safety management system administration associated with documented policies or procedures or lack of procedures or audit findings.Responsible for actions associated with Emergency Response plan as may be outlined in Emergency Response ManualEnsure that safety is present in all decisions and actionsThe Chief Pilot Standards shall fly a minimum of two scheduled days per month or as operationally required within the scope of Flight and Duty regulatory requirements including office dutiesPerform/delegate Line Checks as may be requiredApproved Check Pilot (ACP) dutiesAssist and step in for department as requiredPerform additional duties as assignedMinimum Education, Experience and CertificationsHigh school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) equivalentHold a valid Airline Transport Pilot License (aeroplanes) with a valid Group 1 Instrument RatingHold a type rating for at least one of the types of aeroplanes (as applicable)Have at least three years’ experience as PIC of a company aircraftBe qualified in accordance with the Company’s training program as PIC on one of the types operated and demonstrate knowledge with respect to the content of the Company Operations Manual, Flight Crew Training Manual, Standard Operating Procedures, Company Check Pilot Manual and the provisions of the regulations and standards necessary to carry out the duties and responsibilities of the positionExperience using Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word)Must be able to obtain and maintain any applicable transportation security clearances and additional authorizationsIndigenous and Cultural Awareness Training considered an assetWorking ConditionsPhysically able to perform all listed job dutiesTravel by aircraft and other means as required by roleManual dexterity required to use desktop computer and telephoneAbility to attend and conduct presentationsVarious shifts at a fast pace in order to meet service level requirements of the airlineAble to lift and carry up to 50 lbsMethods and procedures described or implied in the job profile may be altered to accommodate employees. #J-18808-Ljbffr
