Organizational Description: Grateful Friends Animal Rescue is a foster-based and 100% volunteer run rescue in Manitoba that was founded in April 2020. Most of our foster homes are in Winnipeg but we do have multiple fosters in surrounding communities. We focus on forming working relationships with indigenous communities across Manitoba by providing community outreach programs such as vaccine and spay/neuter clinics, information to pet owners, and taking animals into our care that are homeless or need medical care. Being a volunteer run rescue we rely on donations and fundraising to be able to pay off vet bills so we can continue to help as many animals as possible. Volunteer Opportunity Details Volunteer Opportunity ID: 5440 Description of Duties: As the Garden City Supply House, you will manage the storage and distribution of essential supplies such as pet food, litter, litter boxes, kennels, and more. Your role ensures that our foster families have the supplies they need to care for their animals, and that donations are efficiently processed. Responsibilities: Store supplies including pet food, litter, litter boxes, kennels, etc. Facilitate drop-offs of donations (a drop-off bin can be provided by GFAR). Organize and facilitate the pick-up of supplies needed by foster families. Benefits: Play a vital role in supporting our foster network.
