Data Engineer

ITC Infotech is looking for a Data Engineer to join our Team in Canada.Location: Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. What you’ll do: You will Design and develop Snowflake data models to meet business requirements.You will Collaborate with data architects to ensure efficient and scalable database structures.You will Ensure data quality and accuracy through thorough testing of SQL scripts. Performance Tuning.You will Conduct performance tuning and optimization of Snowflake queries to enhance overall system efficiency.You will implement best practices for data loading, indexing, and partitioning. Must Haves: A bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field.10+ years of strong experience design end-to-end ETL architectures that align with business requirements and support data integration needs.Proven experience as a Snowflake Developer or similar role.Hands on experience in SQL skills and expertise in relational database conceptsHands on experience with Snowflake features such as Snowpipe, Tasks, and Streams.Understanding of data warehousing principles and best practices.Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.Good to have: Snowflake certification.Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).Familiarity with data security and encryption in Snowflake.Your X-FactorWork ethic - You are a consummate professional.Aptitude - You have an innate capacity to transition from project to project without skipping a beat.Communication - You have excellent written and verbal communication skills for coordination across projects and teams.Impact - You are a critical thinker with an emphasis on creativity and innovation.Passion - You have the drive to succeed paired with a continuous hunger to learn.Leadership - You are trusted, empathetic, accountable, and empower others around you.
