It’s an exciting time to part of the Give & Go team as we are growing rapidly and want you to become a part of our growth and extraordinarily bright future!Job OverviewThe Senior Facilities Engineering Manager is responsible for the planning, managing and execution of facilities lead and supported capital projects across all Give & Go locations by directing, coaching and mentoring a team of facilities engineers assigned to the projects. The Senior Facilities Engineering Manager will be responsible for the execution of their own assigned projects that are large-scale, complex and potentially multi-location initiatives. The Senior Facilities Engineering Manager will work with the Director, Facilities to provide the necessary tools, systems and training for the Facilities Engineers to optimize their execution effectiveness. The Senior Facilities Engineering Manager will also provide technical support to Operations and Engineering to ensure business continuity of facilities systems / infrastructure, assist with establishing standards, policies and procedures that will improve the Engineering Department’s overall performance and respond to internal and external information requests. Key Responsibilities Assist with the development and delivery of the Facilities CAPEX Master PlanActing as a key link between Plant Operations, Product Development (R&D), Marketing, HSE, Quality Assurance and Engineering to implement the long-term plan (LTP) for all sites. Provide effective reporting to track key performance indicators, capture learnings and apply for continuous improvement of project execution effectiveness.Oversee all aspects of the day-to-day management of projects, including stakeholder engagement, contractor / consultant management, site safety and budget management Delegate assignments, co-ordinate and monitor the work in progress of the Engineering Facilities team. Ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to quality, facilities and safety standardsCapital forecasting and timely entry and close out of projects. Responsible for the execution of their own assigned projects which are large scale, complex and potentially multi-location initiatives. Provide coaching and guidance to Engineering Facilities team members to meet goals and help them reach their full potential. Develop and monitor the process to ensure all equipment and work performed by or on behalf of Give & Go complies with all governing laws, practices, codes, and regulations Provide support to Operations by the effective transition of fully functioning operating systems and equipment for all projects. Troubleshoot and implement potential solutions as required. Provide technical support to Operations and Engineering to ensure business continuity of facilities systems / infrastructure. Respond to internal and external information requests. Assist with establishing standards, policies and procedures that will improve the Engineering Department’s overall performance. Ensures that all site drawings and standard specifications are updated when changes are made as a result of renovations, new additions or maintenance over time (i.e. building layouts, mechanical / electrical changes)Recipe for Success - Qualifications Completion 4-year Bachelor Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical or Civil Engineering. + 10 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment with direct project management experience, managing the timely execution of multi disciplinary projects, specifically related to infrastructure and facilities operations Previous experience implementing change management, developing quality practices, and coordinating collaborative initiatives Design and implement processes within their team that improve effectiveness and productivity, allowing them to focus on higher-value work. Strong project management skills, performing duties such as budgeting, cost tracking, creation of project charters / proposals / schedules, obtaining building permits, CSA / ESA / TSSA certifications, execution of Pre-Start Health and Safety Reviews and managing the timely execution of multi-disciplinary projects, specifically related to infrastructure and facilities operations. Ability to handle higher levels of autonomy and complexity. Excellent Leadership and critical thinking skills – capable of leading cross functional teams to achieve project goals. Strong communication and interpersonal skills – ability to influence all levels of the organization to achieve project goals. Strong analytical skills including troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills to effectively lead teams to quickly identify issues, causes and sustainable corrective actionsAbility to hold others accountable and to manage confrontation. Strong ability to mentor and motivate staff. Diverse set of experience and capabilities to help Sr. Facilities Engineers and Engineering Managers to improve and grow. Must be able to handle fast paced environment with competing priorities and demands. Advanced working knowledge of facilities systems (HVAC, Electrical, Life Safety Systems, etc.) Working knowledge and experience on regulations (GMP, WHMIS, Ministry of Labour, MOEE, etc). Working knowledge of Ontario Building Code, Ontario Fire Code, Occupational Health & Safety Act, Canadian Safety Association (CSA), Technical Standards and Safety Authority (TSSA) and Electrical Safety Authority (ESA). Understands and has experience with implementing Standard Industry Construction Tendering processes and use of Canadian Construction Documents Committee (CCDC) contracts. Proficient user of AutoCAD.
